Monster Jam!

For the first time ever, I went to a Monster Truck show at the Fairgrounds on Saturday. The day began meeting up with the crew to ride to the Fairgrounds in four Ford Trucks, two of which had two rather large American flags flying in the back. The convoy paraded to a parking lot near the Grand Stand shortly after 3pm. We set up camp, i.e. we got out our Keystone Light beer! Not only did we drink the part, we dressed the part including dark eyeliner, blue eyeshadow, and cowboy hats! Unfortunately my digital camera is on the fritz so the evidence is only on my phone. Despite the horrible, rainy, chilly weather, we tailgated for a few hours then headed to the show. We went in early enough to be under cover so we did get to see the show out of elements. However, I must say I don't remember most of the show. I do remember cheering once in a while especially when Gravedigger completed the finale. I think it was around that time several pairs of jeans started to get shredded including mine! Overall I had a great time...of course beer always helps that. And I landed safely in my bed around 3 am. A 12 hour day - what fun!! The next 12-hour day will be this Saturday when we have our Summer Kickoff Bar Crawl. Starting time and place: 1pm at Kelly Cole's Improper.

The Sopranos season finale aired tonight. So the big question becomes who in Tony's "family" is going to get wacked next year?
