Tis Madness!

Yesterday was more exciting than finding out that "Golden Girls" is coming back to Prime Time (they aren't but just imagine!!).

First, it was St. Patrick's Day so I had good reason to wear my Spongebob Lucky Pants t-shirt, green beads, and a flashing St. Patrick's Day pin and of course to drink $4.00 beers all night. I had a Guinness at lunch, went back to work to sober up, then proceeded to have a few very happy hours after work. The night did not disappoint, and I went to sleep with some fuzzy memories.

Second, you may have heard of a college basketball tournament going on. This year is my first year filling out a bracket; I think I made some good picks, and I hope I have beginner's luck! I mean it was March 17th after all. I also have to say it's so freakin' exciting!!! Normally, I would only give a crap about how SU does; not this year boys and girls! Come on Wake Forest! Mamma needs new highlights!

Third, we have the steriod hearings on Capitol Hill. It is absolutely amazing how baseball thinks it can get away with this. Side stepping the issue and questions certainly isn't going to get fans in your corner you freakin' idiots!! I wish I could have stayed home yesterday to watch these guys sweat and Curt Schilling come out swinging at Conseco, a total d-bag in my book.

Apparently, Shaq and Kobe squared off again but that is old news. Give me something new in that Soap Opera (i.e. they kick each other in the nuts on the court) and MAYBE I'll tune in.

Random thought: every work day around noonish - 12:30, if I happened to be day dreaming out my window, I see a green van that looks JUST LIKE the Mystery Machine head west on 690. It's unreal; I can't believe I have seen this thing go by at least a half a dozen times. I think I'm destined to actually meet that van some day.

So tonight, I look forward to a few more beers and watching SU begin their run at the title (Ok if Wake Forest can't win it for my pocket book, I'll take SU for sentimental reasons - thanks) and celebrating the fact I'll be 30 years old 11 months from today. Yikes!
