The week in review and to come

PITA of the day: Hotmail. I don't know why the format needs to change every other month. Just as I get comfortable with how it works, they change it. Pain in the ass!!

Ugh. Anyway, this is a short week for me at work. TG! Monday was awful, yesterday was a little better as was today, and tomorrow is my Friday. I have my annual eye exam on Friday morning (time for contacts; enough of the specs!), so I figured I'd take the whole day off. I think it's supposed to be nice out so I'll hit the Parkway in the afternoon. That's where I headed after work today. Maybe I shouldn't have joined a gym right now. Of course if I hadn't the weather would be crappy and I wouldn't have anywhere to go. Whatever Russ, whatever.

Monday bowling - ugh. It was "work on your handicap" night for me. I had a horrible stomach ache that night when I got home. No more fried food at the alley! ha ha

Tuesday Mary and I went to see The Phantom of the Opera! It was fan-freakin-tastic! We had seen it 15 years ago on a chorus and band trip in high school. That was an unreal experience. We left the high school on Laidlaw buses at 3 am, drove to Toronto to see the show, and didn't get home until 1 am the next morning. It was horrendous but I am so glad I got to see the show. This performance was even better, and mostly because I am older so I see the story and music a little differently. Now I can relate to feelings of the characters including a broken heart. yuck. And let's not forget my wonderful opera voice; I can totally understand how competitive it is in the industry. ha! AND I, of course, shed a couple tears at the end of the show 15 years ago and this time was no different. lol I would see it again and recommend it to anyone slightly interested in plays and musicals. Next we are going to try to see "Movin' Out" and I would LOVE to see "Chicago"...I just wish Catherine Zeta-Jones was going to be in it here! ha ha

Tonight was pretty low key. I went to the Parkway to rollerblade, stopped at Weggie's, grilled a peppercorn steak (Wegman's is g-d awesome) and now just chilling on the patio. I can't believe how nice it is tonight. I can even see stars! Miracle. No, a miracle would be no snow this winter, but then again, that wouldn't be good for us come next summer.

Tomorrow night Scythian is in town! Yahoo!! They are an awesome Irish band that I have seen in D.C. a couple of times at an Irish bar with the sister. The last time they were in Syracuse I was at my company is God's country so I missed out. I can't believe they are back and at Kitty Hoynes! I love that place!! Well I am definitely looking forward to only one more day of work capped off with a night at Hoynes with Scythian - should be smashing good fun. ha ha

Leg up!!
